Become a member
One of the best ways to support HART is to become a member. It costs over £150,000 a year to run the
hospital and as HART Wildlife Rescue is funded entirely by donations we could not exist without our supporters and members.

What percentage of the money goes directly to the cause?
Any money donated to HART goes directly to the running of the charity. At present we rely heavily on volunteers, with just 5 paid members of staff to run the hospital and oversee the treatment and care of the animals. This means you know that anything you give goes directly to those you want to help, sick and injured animals.
How much should I give?
A year's membership costs only £20.00, which can be paid by cheque, cash, standing order or via the website using the online donation service (if you choose to do this, please complete and send in a membership form to let us know your donation is for membership). However, many of our members choose to give more than this, and give regularly by standing order.
Donating each month is important for HART for two reasons. Firstly the charity has a steady income upon which it can rely and plan ahead. Secondly, it saves time and money not having to send reminders and process individual payments, meaning volunteers can focus on treatment of the animals and fundraising for the new hospital. Once set up the Standing Order will continue until you ask your bank to stop it, so you are completely in charge. The amount you give each month is fixed at the start, and will not change unless you request it. The minimum Standing Order amount is £2.00 a month, but you can give as much as you like! If you prefer you can simply pay an amount of your choice once a year by standing order, which again saves us the cost of sending our renewal letters when your subscription is due.
Additionally if you are a UK taxpayer you can sign a Gift Aid declaration, which means that for every £1.00 of your subscription we can claim 28p back from the Inland Revenue, increasing the value even more to us.

Life memberships are also available, for a minimum of £250. Corporate memberships start at £200.
Can I make a One off donation?
If you would like to make a one-off donation rather than becoming a member, this can be made using cash, cheques or the online donation service at the top of the screen.
